Dhyana Yoga Collective was established by Ashlan Walls after receiving her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and Reiki certifications in 2024.
There are "8 Limbs of Yoga" and Dhyana is the 7th limb which means "meditation." Ashlan's mission is to offer a yoga practice that provides self-discovery, personal growth, healing and happiness.
I began my yoga practice in 2015-ish. Before yoga, I was an avid runner who needed a break from putting miles on her body. I started attending Power Vinyasa Yoga classes at my local YMCA and had no idea what I was doing, but I kept showing up week after week. I probably should have taken a few beginners classes, but detours are fun! The reason I kept showing up was because of two amazing instructors. As I continued to practice yoga, my world got bigger and brighter and somewhere in time, my intention for showing up was no longer just a physical outlet. Yoga has truly taught me how to be present in the moment. I'll never forget the first time my busy mind went silent during Shavasana.
